Misconceptions about ISKCON

Here i will share with you my one experience,how misconceptions are created among people about ISKCON and what i found there.

There are no brainwashing like activities in ISKCON. Why would they do it? They have no purpose in attempting to run a militant group or a proselytizing camp….

I can say this because i have gone through it. I have completed my B.Tech from BMEC vrindavan just opposite to iskcon vrindavan. My college’s MD had warned me to not go to iskcon temple as they will wash your brain and will make you their disciple. I and my friends on one evening went there as we were curious and what we sought there?

Foreigners worshipping Lord Krishna, singing, dancing and chanting.

It was a new experience for me as i have not seen before any foreigner worshipping Krishna. On that day i understand one thing it is the most beautiful place in vrindavan. Then we started going there every evening and use to listen songs, do chants, do dance, listen kirtans. No body in the iskcon forced us to do all this or brainwashed us it was just the enjoyment,it was just the peace of soul which urged us to do all this. We use to also attend mangal arti at iskcon not regularly but as per our mood(hahahaha). Who forced or brainwashed us to do this? Its the soul which urged us(hahahaha).

Why one might go to iskcon?

• If he is lonely, he has find a friend in krishna.
• He had a very boring life,he finds an enjoyment in iskcon.
• His is in a search for peace(soul).

What iskcon gave me?

• Love
• This place taught me : “Whatever be the condition, keep trust in god”
• I find a true friend in krishna.
• I find enjoyment there.
• I find there peace(soul)
